My Unpopular Gaming Onions

My onions and mine alone.

my unpopular gaming onions

I'm aware how completely wrong I am and I don't care. I've already endured enough in this little world of ours where it's only worth living as long as you have the means to do so. So, whatever objections that might or might not come my way because of this godforsaken post, unfortunately, wouldn't keep me up at night.

  1. It's hard getting into tactical and turn-based RPGs if you didn't grow up in that era.
  2. Action role-playing games (ARPGs) are the best type of games. But action-adventure games are the bestest.
  3. It's hard getting back into retro games (nostalgia-based games) unless they were based on your own nostalgia.
  4. Retro games are too text-heavy.
  5. It doesn't hurt for old games to be remastered in this day and age, with quality of life improvements. In fact, I welcome it with open arms.
  6. There needs to be more cute but challenging open-world games, because the real world is already bleak enough and we need an escape.
  7. 2D Zelda > 3D Zelda. 3D remakes of 2D Zelda count as 2D.
  8. All 2D Zelda games deserve a remake like Link's Awakening on the Switch. Especially A Link to the Past and The Minish Cap.
  9. More top-down action RPGs in general.
  10. More cute action-adventure games. Cute graphics, good story, complex mechanics, smooth gameplay. By cute I meant CUTE. You know like Red Dead Redemption, Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro but cute.
  11. More ninja games with actual stealth like Tenchu. Open-world Tenchu. Enemies are also badass ninjas not Mega Demon Monster bosses.
  12. An open-world ninja game but with fight mechanics like Bushido Blade.

I usually make these posts while tipsy because that's how I roll. And life sucks.
